HILLIARD, Ohio — VARGO®, a leading provider of material-handling system integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solution for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has hired Harold Gruber as a systems project engineer.

In this role, Gruber will work with the engineering group that is responsible for providing state-of-the-art supply chain solutions for VARGO®’s customers. Prior to joining VARGO®, Gruber was a senior industrial engineer at Gap, Inc., where he managed engineering at Ohio direct-to-consumer order fulfillment centers. In his 27-year career, he also has held industrial engineering and management positions with Holophane Corp.; Techneglas, Inc.; Kroger and Sperian Protection Americas, Inc.

Gruber has a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University. He also is a Certified Packaging Professional with the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
