HILLIARD, Ohio (Sept. 6, 2018) — VARGO^®, a leading provider of material-handling systems integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has welcomed Timothy Hodson to the team as an application support engineer.

In this role, Hodson will provide on-call support to VARGO^® customers and will create, maintain and execute test plans to further maximize customer satisfaction with VARGO^® products. His responsibilities also include reviewing existing code and making modifications as necessary.

Before joining the VARGO^® team, Hodson worked for four years as a systems engineer at ClaritySoft CRM, an account management software company. In that role, he was responsible for project planning, requirement analysis, database management, technical implementations and product demonstrations.

Hodson grew up in South Haven, Mich., before moving to Gahanna. He graduated from The Ohio State University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and minors in business and computer science.

In this role, Becker will serve as a key member of the VARGO^® systems integration team, providing critical project management support to fully integrated systems projects.

Before joining VARGO^®, Becker served for five years as an accounting assistant at Schonhardt and Associates, a Columbus-based management, accounting and consulting firm. Previously, Becker worked for six years at Smiths Medical, where she was a research and development engineer. She also has worked at Inland Fisher Guide, a division of General Motors, as a quality and reliability engineer.

Becker grew up in Pittsburgh, Penn. She graduated from the University of Dayton in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology. She is a past member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, a professional society dedicated to the support of industrial and systems engineering professions, and the Society of Women Engineers, a nonprofit organization centered around providing women engineers a place and voice within the industry.

Sauty de Chalon will support solution functional and interface requirements gathering, project management functions and onsite COFE® implementations between VARGO® and its customers. COFE® (Continuous Order Fulfillment Engine) is VARGO®’s warehouse execution software that drives waveless order fulfillment for VARGO® clients’ distribution centers across the country.

“Sauty de Chalon’s background as a business analyst is a natural fit for VARGO®,” said Bart Cera, CFO and COO. “His addition to our growing software team allows us to continue to scale to meet our growing business demands.”

Before joining the VARGO® team, Sauty de Chalon worked at Sogeti USA, an IT services company in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a senior business analyst and test lead on Agile Scrum implementation.

Born in New York, N.Y., and raised there before moving to France at age 8, Sauty de Chalon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the ESSEC Business School in Paris, France, and a Master of International Management from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a Professional Scrum Master 1 certification from Scrum.org.

COFE^® 3 and COFE^®View will see increases in efficiency and responsiveness

DUBLIN, Ohio (July 12, 2018) — VARGO^®, a leading provider of material-handling systems integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has announced updates to its COFE^® warehouse execution system software and COFE^®View, VARGO^®’s business intelligence and reporting and management platform.

The updates will maximize its customers’ user experience and guarantee continued efficiency and accuracy in data reporting.

“With these updates, we want to continue to make our customers’ user experience a top priority and ensure that COFE^® and COFE^®View, the application tool that allows customers to access information from COFE^®, are driving the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in their facilities,” said Michael McSweeny, director of software development at VARGO^®.

Previously accessible from a computer with a wired connection, the new browser/mobile-based COFE^® View  will now be  accessible on mobile devices, allowing users to access COFE^® View’s reporting and management tools from anywhere inside a distribution center, as well as outside the facility from any device that has access to a browser with sufficient credentials to access such information.

“Our customers are going to be able to access data from multiple platforms — at their desks, on their mobile devices, even at home. The new COFE^®View interactive and engaging approach to how it delivers data is easy to use and visually appealing,” McSweeny said. “The graphical format of the data will show in a snapshot just how things are moving through a distribution center and will allow managers to make real-time decisions.”

HILLIARD, Ohio (July 11, 2018) — VARGO^®, a leading provider of material-handling systems integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has hired Nick Choi as the company’s director of systems implementation.

Choi will manage the execution of integrated systems projects, which includes overseeing project management, engineering and installation.

“Nick brings more than 20 years of experience working in the material handling, logistics and software solutions industry,”  said Bart Cera, COO and CFO at VARGO^®. “We are excited to put his expertise and attention to detail to work for our clients.”

Before joining the VARGO^® team, Choi had worked since 2010 at Intelligrated/Honeywell in Mason, Ohio, most recently in the role of vice president/director of installation services. Prior to that, he worked for 12 years for Rapistan/Dematic, as a project and program manager.

A native of Haverford, Pa., Choi earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy in aviation for 11 years and then in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 11 more years until 2009.
