DUBLIN, Ohio (MAY 21, 2018) — VARGO®, a leading provider of material-handling system integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, is expanding its footprint in central Ohio, and leasing office space in Dublin, Ohio, to house its growing software engineering team.

The company — with headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio, and additional offices in Austin, Texas; Berkeley, Calif.; and the Grand Rapids, Mich., area — has leased space at 400 Metro Place North, a modern office building that features a glass exterior, three-story glass atrium and underground parking.

The new space — named the VARGO® Technology Center — will provide a high-tech hub for the company’s software team.

Renovation of the office space interior will take place over the next few months, according to Bart Cera, COO and CFO of VARGO®. The central Ohio software team will relocate in September from the Hilliard headquarters to the Technology Center, which provides enough space for the software team to about 30 employees, Cera said.

VARGO® offers complete fulfillment solutions for e-commerce, retail, wholesale and manufacturing clients. Its intelligent software drives the fulfillment of many global retailers’ distribution centers across the country, including American Eagle Outfitters, Forever 21, Gap, Inc., and several other well-known retail brands. The decision to expand the company’s offices is rooted in its rapid growth in recent years, necessitating additional office space for a larger expanded resource team.

“This new space will allow for efficient and effective collaboration and inspire innovation from our software engineering team,” said Mike Vargo, the president and CEO of VARGO®. “The Technology Center will allow us to continue our vision to bring leading-edge WES software solutions to our industry and to our customers.”

The Technology Center will include a training center dedicated to client meetings, sales presentations and large group training sessions. In addition, VARGO® plans to have the Technology Center house a lab and product demonstration area. The space that opens up at the VARGO® headquarters will be used by the growing systems integrations group.

“Opening up our headquarters and relocating our software engineering team to its own high-tech space provides ample room for both our software and our systems integration team to continue to grow and develop proven, successful and results-oriented solutions for our customers.” Cera said.
