COLUMBUS, Ohio (March X, 2016) — VARGO®, a leading provider of material-handling system integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major e-fulfillment and distribution centers, will present two industry-critical seminars at the upcoming MODEX trade show April 4-7, 2016, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The first seminar, “The Omnichannel Fulfillment Center: It’s all about the warehouse execution system,” will be presented by a team of VARGO® experts including Art Eldred, client executive, systems engineering; Jeff Lammert, client executive, system sales; and Dan Perry, senior systems engineer. The seminar will take place from noon to 12:45 p.m. on April 4 in Theater C. Seminar attendees will learn how omnichannel operations focus on the utilization of resources. VARGO® also will discuss the latest Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) software that allows for a single distribution facility to serve multiple channels.
The second seminar — “Waveless” Order Processing: Why wave picking is hurting your business,” — will be presented by a Eldred, Lammert and Dan Perry from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m, on April 5 in Theater C.
Seminar attendees will learn how waveless processing produces a steady work flow, which will provide far greater utilization of resources (labor and machines) and increase system throughput. Waveless order processing works in real time and dynamically assigns tasks to pull work through the system. When working in real time, high priority orders get moved to the front of the queue for immediate release and processing.
